Bobby Huang

Contact Bobby Huang

The reliable way to contact Bobby Huang is a LinkedIn message. That’s me, and I read my own. No form on this page, no email address to hunt down, so all this page does is tell you what to put in the message. Takes about a minute to get right, and it saves us both a round of back-and-forth.

Reach me on LinkedIn

Send me a direct message on LinkedIn. That’s the whole system.

It’s where I already spend my working attention, so nothing sits in a routing queue waiting to find me. Follow me on LinkedIn and message me there.

Two honest norms before you do. A specific ask gets answered a lot faster than “would love to connect,” so lead with the thing you actually want. And I don’t reply to everything. If a pitch isn’t a fit, silence is usually the answer, which I’d rather tell you here than have you wonder about for three weeks.

There are a lot of Bobby Huangs. If you set out to contact Bobby Huang the one who runs Growthy, and you searched Bobby Huang LinkedIn to do it, that profile is mine.

One note on mechanics. A bare connection request with nothing attached is the easiest thing in the world to miss. Add the message.

What to include

A message carrying the right three or four facts gets a real reply. A vague one usually gets nothing. What to send depends on why you’re writing.

Investors and founders

Lead with what the company does in one line. Then the stage, the single number that actually shows traction, and what you’re asking me for. If you’re raising, say the round and what’s already committed. If you’d rather have a read on the business than a check, say that instead. I’ll answer the question you actually asked. More on pitching an investment.

Consulting

Name the company and what’s not working. Acquisition, conversion, retention, reporting, whatever it happens to be. Then tell me what you’ve already tried, what the numbers did, and who would own the execution on your side. That last one matters more than most people expect, because I advise and your team builds. Details on how I advise on growth.

Press and podcasts

Send the outlet, the topic, the format, and your date. Everything you’d normally open a bio email asking for is already sitting on my background and headshot page, including the photo. Short version: I’m the founder and CEO of Growthy, and a partner at SDO CPA LLC, with 18 years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting behind me. I was also Head of Growth at vidIQ and Mable, Growth Lead at Archive, and Growth Product Marketing Manager at BlueStacks.

If you need me on a specific date, put it in the first line. That’s usually what decides whether I can do it. And tell me what you want me to actually talk about. “Anything you like” is harder to say yes to than a narrow question I’ve spent real time on.
